Today's service was awesome. Ps Dave was sooo funny. I remembered that before I went for the Generation Conference, I prayed that today would be different. And it was very different indeed. One point that Ps Dave pointed out was about God loving you. God is with you always. He will never ever forsake you. God loves me! It was emphasised over and over again. I got to see things from a different perspective. Now, whenever I sing 'Jesus You are my best friend', I can sing what I mean, and not sing for the sake of singing. It's totally not the same anymore. Renewal, change... Yup, God woks big time.. Prayer works. It really really works.
Anyway, Alvin just called...from Australia!! Haha, that guy.. Thks anyway, thought you were just joking you noe.. Alvin ah, maybe the Australia side don't let you see my blog.. Haha.. I don't think it's set to private..

The Miracle Box
It's a movie about how 2 people met and fell in love. The guy had leukemia before and after his marriage, it acts up again and he passed away. His wife, left alone to fight the SARS epidemic, succumbed to the virus and died too. However, throughout their marriage, they were dependent on God and surrended everything to Him. In the last scene, when they met again, the guy was waiting for her, the rainbow above him. I realised that in our Christian life, God is also waiting for us to embrace Him with open arms. The rainbow symbolises God's promises.. It was so significant for me.
While watching the last part, I kept tearing. I mean, it's very unlike me to cry because of a movie. Like, it's just a show.. But this one is different. It will make an impact on your life. When Pastor Poh Ham was speaking, I felt led to pray for the people who were there. Yah, so got some of the other youths to start praying as well. If we want something to happen, we have to pray. And when I was praying, I teared again. Today was realli special. Haha.. In the end, there were 20+ salvations! Praise the Lord! Yay! And then I teared again...
Well, I think I'm ready for tomorrow's conference. I feel that we shouldn't go for service unprepared. If not, nothing will come out of it. Prepare your hearts to meet the Lord tomorrow. Yup, don't go with your eyes closed, ears sealed and hearts hardened.
At the end of the movie, when people were streaming out of the sanctuary, Ps Poh Ham kept emphasising that those people who have not received the Lord yet, don't leave the sanctuary so soon. They were all walking past me, old, people, middle-aged people, children... Suddenly, a song came to me..
People need the Lord

I was doing my devotion this morning. It was quite surprising to see this verse appear when the topic was on friendship.
"When Jesus came into Jerusalem, the people joyfully waved palm branches and covered his colt's path with their own coats...
...How awesome it is to imagine yourself in the very presence of God! Giving yourself completely in submission to him. Our heartfelt praise is God's due for his goodness to us. Worshiping him binds us intimately to his heart."
The next time you're standing in Grace Sanctuary, worship Him like never before. Give yourself completely in submission to Him. Whatever that is on your mind, leave it to God. For he will make a way out of it. Concentrate fully on worshipping Him!. Sometimes, during worship, we get really distracted or self-conscious. Like, is that person looking at me? Or, oh no, i still have a pile of homework waiting for me! Leave all these aside, focus on Him. Come back to the heart of worship.
This Saturday would be the Generation conference. It's from 2.50pm to 6pm. Can't wait! I'm really expecting something big to happen, changes, revival. Yup, and a deeper understanding of God and experience his ever-flowing, unlimited love. Right, sat quick come!

Wow, today was a super long day. Played the keyboard whole day long, tiring. I just don't know why, but I got nervous soo many times. Haha, quite funny. Maybe becuase of my nervousness, I 'm so tired now. Haha, a little illogical. Oh.. Weini came today. Haha, but the sermon a little chim for her. Hopefully, the speaker next week will be able to speak in simpler terms. And yes! It's the generation conference! Haha, can't wait. I'm tired..no more brain juice. Haha..

I don't know if I did the right thing. Seems to me like i did the wrong thing again. I really have to learn to care about other people's feelings and stop to check if I'm doing the right thing. Lately, I've just been banging my head around, blindly looking for a way out. Well, one day, I'll know where I've gone wrong, hopefully. Or what the right way is.

We had Geography lesson today and Mrs Tan showed us this video clip on volcanoes, plate techtonics, the Earth's crust..blah blah.. Through this, we can see that God's creation is soo marvellous. Well, I for one get easily astounded by Nature. Because it is soo beauiful. Hmm, have you ever stood at a high altitude and looked out on a vast piece of land? That time, I went to Japan and we went up this really high tower. From there, we could see this huge land mass and a bit of water. If you look far out, you can feel that the country you are in is just one tiny part of the Earth's surface. The magnitude of these stuff really makes me wonder how great God really is.
My God is so big. So strong and so mighty. There's nothing my God cannot do.
Another of my favourite things to look at are clouds. Just lift your head up and you'll be able to witness the movement of those, fluffy, cotten-woolly thingies. Haha, it's really, really beautiful. Haha..so nice..
God made all these!

Sometimes, we often wonder where God is in our lives. Is He really there? Yes, he is! I did this topic in my devotion book and it mentioned that we don't have to keep asking God's presence to be with us, because God IS with us, we just have to affirm it. Cool rite? Well, I can sense that the Lord is working evidently in my life. It's just PDA after PDA after PDA. But, I always don't know how to continue. It's like their reaction is, "Ok..". And that's it. So, I think, it's better to concentrate on one only.
Do you know that there are many different ways to evangelise to your friends? During the Rev-up class, Matt showed us how to evangelise to a blind person. That was a very creative way. God gave me a terrific idea on how to evangelise to some people. And I think it's simply great! Haha.. [not very convenient to share it here though =)]. My class will be doing this CME project on religion. I can't wait! It's going to be super exciting, working with a bunch of great people. Haha..
God has certainly blessed me with a lot, a lot of wonderful things. I just have to open my eyes and look around. Wooh! Yay!! Remember the new song we sang at youth service last week? It kinda got stuck in my head. Haha..

Just felt like blogging what Mark shared with me. It's nothing personal..so..dun worry.
How do you study? - Read the chapter before class starts - Pay full attention during lessons - Go home do homework and notes. Use as many colours as you can. - At the end of every week, revise through your notes - For maths, just practice. Yup..practice makes perfect. - Do not eat smarties. It's fake. (ok..i think i prefer m&ms..haha) - Pray.
You might think..ya.. i know all these already. Why are you telling me again? Well, did you know that by doing your best in your studies, you're submitting to authorities (your teachers), as well as obeying God? Wow. Killing two birds with a stone. Cool rite. Not onli that, you'll be able to manage your time and school work better also! Haha.. thks for sharing Mark.
I don't wish for my blog to be like so negative and crappy. Like, oh, todae's was a horrible day, got scolded..etc. Not v encouraging rite. Ya, to me, a blog is more like a form of communication, to encourage others, to find out more about what's happening in someone's life. Yup..i don't think it's a waste of time as long as you dun blog abt crappy stuff.

Sometimes, i find i'm too..erm suspicious. like i jump to conclusions reali quickly. for example on saturday, i thought these 2 ppl were like having other motives but when everything was clarified, they weren't what I thought they were. Ok, it sounds complicated but..anyway.. I think i reali have to change how i look at others.
hmm.. Huai Tze was preaching bout submission on sat. during his last point (why should i submit), this song came to my mind.

He was saying that when we obey, we are protected, covered up. So, if we hide obey, we are able to "hide under His wings", and be covered. So cool rite? Woo!
Huai Tze also touched on submitting to governing authorities. I know there are a few teachers whom I don't reali like a lot. But i'm trying to love them..and to do their homework joyfully. Haha.. in the end, the one tt benefits from the homework is me, nt them.
Yesterday was really funny. Had a good time at Teck Liang's party. I guess communication is really impt to be able to get to know sumone better (duh =.=) Sigh..im crapping already. Hopefully my other entries wun be so..'touch and go' kind of thing..
