Take a step outside your shell
To drink the secrets of the well
No longer will you fit inside
There's no more need to run and hide
It's easy now to be yourself
And set your fears upon a shelf
To close your eyes for just a thought
And reconsider all you're taught
Wishes made when you were young
Captured in the songs you sung
Freed your heart to laugh and play
Reminders of a former day
So now you look through open eyes
To ask the hows, the whens, the whys
To search the world to find your part
And free the dreams within your heart

Whoa, I miraculously got through today without feeling extra tired. God's grace, yes it is. Right after school, we had debates. And, er-herm, we lost. By two points. David and Danial, if you guys are reading this, you two did a good job! Only L1 did it better..haha. I'm joking. Don't feel bad la.. I was very blur throughout the whole thing as well. Haha.. And then right after debates, we had physics test. Good thing it was MCQ only. But it's counted for CA! And then, right after the test, we had choir practice and then right after choir practice we had musical rehearsal. Waltz again. So, the whole day was just continuously packed with activities and the only break was recess. Whew! And I made it! Yay...
Ahh.. and waltz is seriously not easy. Especially since it's a partner dance. Anyone with me?
And... *drum roll*... MYE's in 5 days! Stress out man!

I just came back from the dentist. Goodness, this was an appoinment I had put off for almost a year! After taking off my braces, my teeth were still not very stable so I had to wear retainers. Teeth do shift even after braces, only they wouldn't go back to their original postion, thank goodness. So, the gum above one of my tooth had some stubborn fibre in it and that tooth kept shifting everyday, even till now. Did a cut above that shifty tooth today. And of course, before cutting, had to inject anesthesia and boy, it was painful. Now, the numbeness' wearing off and I'm going to suffer tonight. Boy oh boy. And MYE's in 7 days! Shouts!!

Hey everyone, it's Good Friday! And do you know what it means? Many, many years ago, Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Ok, it may seem a little cliche when you read this, I know. However, think about it. Someone, a special someone, was sent to die for your sins and mine. Your closest kins would probably not even do that for you, what more the great and awesome God. Who are we that He should die for us? His beloved children, that's who we are in Christ. And the best part is, Jesus resurrected 3 days later! It's not as simple as that. There's more than meets the eye. The spiritual battle had been fought and Jesus won, victory belongs to the Lord. We do not have to succumb to Satan's devilish plans any longer, cos we are free!
People, Good Friday and Easter are not about eggs and bunnies. These significant events have become so commercialised and others make money out of it. I'm not saying it's wrong to grab hold of opportunities and take advantage of it (legally), but it's the way it is being done that allows these special events to lose their true meaning.
I was watching the news just now and the reporter was interviewing these special ed kids, asking them about Good Friday. The answers that they gave were, seriously, textbook answers. Nothing wrong. I don't have anything against them. (My cousin has cerebral palsy and I love him all the same.) I'm just wondering if they really know what they are saying. I'm sure some kids do. But what about the others? They were painting eggs as a Good Friday activity. The aim of "come-let's-gather-and-paint-eggs-event" was to foster good relationships between people of different religions and to allow the kids to understand more about each other. This is great of course (govt's aim to maintain social cohesion and racial and religious harmony is well-received by the people), but.. I feel that painting eggs, or having eggs as the main theme is not going to help others understand about Good Friday. You know what I mean? Why not screen videos, maybe cartoon-style (for the children), about what really happened during Good Friday. Or collaborate with radio stations to read the gospel on air and play songs? Wouldn't that be cool..
I'm sorry if anyone gets offended reading this. It's just my opinion on the matter. Thanks to Jon for his drawing! Yeah!
We are the reason that He gave His life, We are the reason that He suffered and died, To a world that was lost, He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live.

Roses wilt and die,
Birds flit and fly.
Man live and lie,
Life isn't just like a pie.
It's not just plain happiness within, JOY ABOUNDS!
