WELCOME
Take a step outside your shell
To drink the secrets of the well
No longer will you fit inside
There's no more need to run and hide
It's easy now to be yourself
And set your fears upon a shelf
To close your eyes for just a thought
And reconsider all you're taught
Wishes made when you were young
Captured in the songs you sung
Freed your heart to laugh and play
Reminders of a former day
So now you look through open eyes
To ask the hows, the whens, the whys
To search the world to find your part
And free the dreams within your heart

Ohh, I had such a long and zonked out day. AHhh.
Today's a Friday right, so it's the shortest school day of the week, but it felt as long as any other day. During geog tutorial,
Lilin: Grace, you were sleeping during geog!
Me: No, I wasn't.
Lilin: I saw you closing you eyes.
Me: Ahh, I was resting.
Lilin: That means you slept la!
Me: No, I was resting and listening.
Lilin: So you can multitask huh?
Me: Haha, yeah.
Obviously, I slept without even knowing it, but I was still subconsciously listening to what was going on. Gah. And then, during our slacky PW period, my group was chatting away. They probably allowed it cos it was considered as a team bonding activity. Heh. And so, my boring school day was finally over.
In the afternoon, I attended Erika's scholarship ceremony with a few others. Surprisingly, I saw 6 other people whom I recognise, getting the scholarships too. Cool. Tecky, Hong Wei, Khee Onn, Nadia Shah, the NPCC guy from BP and Yi Biao, my primary school classmate. Congrats again to all of you! When I stepped into NP, I was so shocked cos it was like a mini HDB estate! There was a food centre, a library and what's most amazing, they had their own traffic light and zebra crossing! My goodness! Shocking!
Yeah, we went shopping later on and Tim (if you're reading this), you do realise that we followed you the whole afternoon so you could get your stuff but you didnt get anything in the end! Haha. Well, 1 lesson I learnt today was to never go shopping after school with all your school stuff. Firstly, you'll end up extra tired and whiny. Secondly, you can't use you hands very much as they are already occupied with your bags. Thirdly, you're not in the mood for shopping after all that school stuff's drilled into your head. It was kinda uncomfortable, which was further aggravated by the warm and humid weather. Oh, but the highlight of the day was *drum roll*...
Zephy, Syahir and I waited for 21 buses to get home! Yay! How exciting right. We were at the 190 bus stop, waiting for space on the buses (or in fact waiting for the buses to stop at the bay so we could board, which a few didn't), and then walking to the 700 bustop in hope of getting onto a realtively empty 700 or 171. But no, it didn't happen happen of cos. So we queued for the taxi at the stand. Haha, after a while, 2 rather empty 190s passed but no, we didn't go for it cos we were already in the queue. Ok, so in the end we decided to take 190 and chased after the next bus, which of course, we missed again. (that was the 20th one btw). And we finally got on the 21st bus. Yay, *applause*. I've never waited this long for a bus la. 1 hr!! Wahhhh. Irritating. So, another lesson learnt is, don't take the public transport during peak hours or late at night. You'll either squeeze or wait like crazy. I was super zonked out by then la.
Oh, and when we were at the taxi stand of some really glam hotel, I took a peek at the toilet and guess what? It's fit for royalty! Apparently, the sign on the door read 'Queen'. The toilet was plastered with red stripey wallpaper, adorned with chunky-framed mirrors and was fitted with halogen lights in each cubicle. The toilet seat was like made of dark wood and wahh, the flush was touch-sensored! Amazing. The sink right, was super high tech. The tap was automatic (quite common nowadays), but the soap dispenser was controlled by a touch sensor too!!! Oh my goodness! I thought I stepped into the wrong place or something. Who knows, there might be a hidden camera somewhere. The toilet was so grand, no one was inside and it was rather creepy actually. Haha yeah, but it was cool. Yup.
And yes, that's the end of my zonked out day. I'm so tired!
